Prayer within a Dream

The other night, I had a dream. It was a sort of bad dream, but sort of good, too. Someone very close to me had just died and I was heartbroken.

But one of my really close friends from Hope that I haven't seen in a while seemingly appeared out of nowhere, somehow knowing exactly what was going on. He prayed with me as soon as I saw him, before anything else.

I wonder what it means when you see someone pray for you in a dream, especially a friend. It sort of reminds me of the lyrics Michael W. Smith wrote in a song that dates back a few years.

And friends are friends forever
If the Lord's the Lord of them
And a friend will not say "never"
'Cause the welcome will not end
Though it's hard to let you go
In the Father's hands we know
That a lifetime's not too long to live as friends
