The black face paint
Oh my weird black hole costume. It weirded people out. And frightened a few, too. It was good for a practical joke (you took it well, Ross), and even cooler: I managed to stop an entire contingent of '10 Nykerk Playboys dead in their tracks outside Wichers. I guess there is something pretty mysterious about a guy dressed completely in black with black gloves and black face paint on his face and neck. They had no clue who I was and stopped me just to ask who I was. I think they thought I was a ninja. I stayed mysterious and only kept myself friendly enough by identifying myself as a senior, and therefore, a friendly Even Year ally. The black face paint really did a nice job at making my identity to both strangers and people who knew me kinda cloudy.
I actually did a decent job getting all that paint on my face and neck. Except there probably wasn't enough for my ears, and that's just as well after the discovery I made when I had to clean it all off...
It's annoying. Really annoying. And time-consuming. Kinda cool, though; I looked like I got in a really intense fight and earned two really nice-looking black eyes. If they're still there in the morning, I might just tell my students I fought off a couple of thugs.
