On a "Satanic" holiday, Satan is POWERLESS

I spent my Halloween in a much different manner than probably most people around the country did this year. No costumes. No candy except the little that Dr. Richmond made me take. No, I went to the opera for Halloween night and saw a performance of Georges Bizet's Carmen by Opera Grand Rapids. Yes, Jordan, I've seen it while in college, too. But what made any of this significant was the ride into Grand Rapids. It rained for awhile, but then it stopped and the sun sort of came out and made the sky a pink color. And then my friends pointed out something really cool that made me think more of the "All Hallows' Eve" and the at least once-sacred nature of this holiday.

There was a double rainbow. A huge one. Once again, God's sign of a promise to never flood the earth with water again had appeared. I couldn't help but grow a bit excited on the inside on seeing a temporal sign of a promise our God, who made us, loves us, and saved us especially on a holiday where some say Satan rules the roost. It proved yet again that even on "his" holiday, Satan holds no real power at all.

Psalm 19:1 "The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands."
