What is your favorite book and why?

What is your favorite book and why?

Well, the answer I should probably give (and it is a book I greatly love) is the Bible. What isn't there to love about a book that I believe to be the inspired Word of God that He instructed man to write down? A writing from my Creator, my Savior, my God... it truly is great.

If I must choose a completely human author, I will stand by my answer of Lord of the Rings. Yes, there is literature that is better-written. There are tighter plots. But the themes that I the reader draw relating to Christianity, the richness of the story itself/the world of Middle-Earth, and the surrounding stories before and after make it a great favorite.

I want to read that book again, soon. When I have some time to read, and when I don't have so many other books to read.
