Conference = Nothing Left

Why, oh why, do I go to these?

The Michigan Music Conference was good. The sessions were nice. I wish I could have made it to some performances, but alas, not this year. I got some nice free music, and thankfully Ms. Sopha said she'd get that music to me that the MMC folks tried to steal from me. I still feel bad that they took Lisa's. How dare you administrative morons take from a budding teacher's personal choral library!

I could have rested later, I guess. But then came a practice session with Paul from GVSU, Nik, and Ross for InterVarsity's Kingdom Come in two weeks. That was pretty sweet. So was hanging with Ross afterwards. But that meant no rest for Tyler. *Sigh*

I tried to sleep today. I really did. I even shut off the clock alarm to see how late I'd sleep and ended up waking up early enough to go to Engedi. So I went because I took the waking up thing as a sign that I should go. I didn't get a nap because my phone almost buzzed off the desk and then Nik later called me with an invite to dinner (would YOU tell a good friend "No" when you have no plans?). And The Gathering... no missing that.

I can only pray I'll be on top of work this week so I can sleep at night.
