The weekend... and it's not done yet
The All-Engedi Retreat was wonderful. It was sort of what I expected, and sort of what I wasn't. And so much more. I didn't expect it to apply so much to me as a teacher, but it did, in some respects. I may have missed a Chapel Choir rehearsal, and I hope I'm not massively penalized for it, but I did get some excellent advice from Dan Webster (the speaker) on how to approach teaching through the leadership lens. Ish. Oh man, that joke is not going to die. Pastor Brian may come to regret that one. And beat-boxing for us.
The Homecoming Ball was great... and so disappointing. I love the swing dancing, and then I stepped off the dance floor and watched everyone else to the disc jockey's playlist. I was so disappointed. And saddened. More later on Homecoming when it's concluded.
In the meantime, I'm up early to rejoin the Chapel Choir. Ugh.
