Are you happy?

Are You Happy?

That's an excellent question. But I think happiness is a misunderstood thing. Happiness is a temporary feeling. Right now as I answer this question, yes I am happy. I'm not overloaded with schoolwork and I had a memorable Friday night.

But eventually, I won't be happy. Something will end it. Something will bother me to the point that all this good, fun stuff will pale in comparison to whatever I am currently facing. And that will pass, too.

Thankfully, I have something far greater. It's called "joy." I have joy because I have Christ. He's taught me that He made me, loves me, died and came back for me, and wants me to follow Him. Nothing can extinguish that. That makes me more than happy.
