Bureaucracy Annoys Me... a LOT

I'm thoroughly sick of Education Department meetings. Why can't we the music ed. majors just hold all these meetings with Mr. DeBoer and Dr. Richmond? They've looked after us just fine so far...

Thank goodness the rest of the day went better. My first voice lesson with Joy playing went as well as can be expected for having never even sung with her. I look forward to a good semester.

It's cool seeing Noah in the music department. He's going to do some good things for us-I can sense it. Plus he's a good friend, and who wouldn't enjoy seeing good friends?

Chapel Choir. Singing next to Ross is an absolute BLAST and it's great to see how he's already grown as a musician. I can't wait to see what the remainder of the year has for us and how much more he'll grow. And as I was talking to Briana on our way to rehearsal, this year's repertoire seems to have more, for lack of a better term, "crowd-pleasers" in it.

InterVarsity. It's sort of a new thing for me and I wouldn't have expected to involve myself in a new organization my senior year, but I'm enjoying it so far. We'll see where God takes me with it.

Bring on the weekend. It'll be nice to hit the brakes, enjoy the GR Symphony, catch up on Saturday, chill with friends, and enjoy Sunday as an actual Sabbath. Brandon really has hit on something there that we all should do.

Comic aside: I wore my BRIGHT orange Crocs today with my outfit, which was a lot more muted.
Response from Dr. Richmond (first thing he said to me the entire day): "You could be a crossing guard in those."
Response from Erin: "The first thing I saw when you walked out the door [from Wichers] was not you. It was your shoes."
