In spring, who do we fling?

Welcome back to the world of posts written in the third person! Friday was memorable for the Major General Music. Aural Skills appointments weren't exactly fun because they were so tough but he'll never have to do one ever again. Theory II performances WERE really fun. The Major General Music always enjoys seeing what his friends have composed and it's even more fun to perform in them. There were some good ones-the Sweet Soprano's was aleatory and represented a horse race. The Major General Music's part consisted of yelling "BANG!" counting from 1 to 60, and then yelling "WINNER!" into a grand piano with the sostenuto pedal engaged. His own wasn't too bad-a fugue with Dr. Pirate & Dr. Fluttery quotes and a warm-up or two thrown in got some good laughs from Super Theory Teacher. The Eccentric Pianist's piece definitely was the most entertaining-a string quartet and the Strange Kazoo pretending to be creepy and haunt the Super Theory Teacher. No, "The Circus Never Knew Death."

The Major General Music was able to stay for Spring Fling this year! He spent time playing outside at all the neat toys, including the velcro spider wall, big fat sumo suits, the inflatable obstacle course, and the list goes on. There was a great big picnic barbecue for all and the Major General Music particularly enjoyed the cookies and ice cream for dessert. Afterwards, he spent some quality time with his roommate for next year, the Tall Stud and some other new friends. It mainly consisted of throwing a frisbee around (the Major General Music throws a mean chickenwing), eating more cookies (freshly-baked), playing Euchre, and watching "Muppet Treasure Island."
