"Where two or three are gathered in my name..."I've learned a lot about prayer since coming to Hope. It is an excellent defense when Satan's throwing everything he has at you, it can calm hearts in times of trouble, and it can bring brothers (and sisters) in Christ close together.
Ben and I prayed together over his talk in chapel tomorrow and it was sweet. I'm still a little unsure what possessed me to ask to pray with him about this, but after we finished, it felt pretty clear that it was the Holy Spirit's doing. I felt God's presence, a true closeness to Him.
Recently I haven't felt that unique closeness very much, but tonight was different. The words from Matthew 18:20 stand out to me right now.
"For where two or three are gathered in my name, there I am in the midst of them."
To quote a great American spiritual, "Ain-a that good news?!"
When two or more Christians gather in God's name, He is RIGHT THERE. I know I think that's pretty cool to imagine that our Heavenly Father is right there when we gather together.

And to add on to this, God answered the prayers Ben and I prayed. The talk in chapel was AWESOME and I think the words he spoke pleased God. Huzzah!
