Pizza and bank robbers!

Working at the resort has its benefits. A job, pay, free pizza for dinner with great company, and stolen shoes (thanks to the Angela) to boot. Plus she and the Major General Music enjoyed some cheap entertainment, which amused Dick & Rose. What is the common bond among the following list of things/people/characters/individuals?

-Pac Man
-Batman
-Bank robber
-Shoe shiner
-French fryer
-Crypt keeper

Hint: two items which would not belong in this list are:

-Zipper
-Fishstick(s)

Give up? They are all names that the Light Commander, which responds to spoken commands to turn the lights on, dim them, or turn them off. You're technically supposed to say "Light Commander" if you want it to do something, but it answers to the above names as well. But remember, use the right tone of voice and speak clearly. He gets confused very easily and you'll scare him if you shout.

Well... "technically", as I discovered a few years ago, it is actually a Lamp Commander- but for some reason we've also said light commander.
