Needing the beach...
Monday and today, I was sent with a trusty brown wheelbarrow, two rakes, and a pitchfork down to the beach at the resort. My job was fairly simple: rake up as much not-sand and put it into the wheelbarrow, leave the wheelbarrow at the grassy area until someone picked it up with the Kubota, and yeah... that's it. Hopefully the beach is a little more JUST white sand and less pine needles, tree roots, sticks, and washed up water plants.
Ross sent me an e-mail mentioning the beauty he's admired at Portage Lake. I've had a chance to do that over Hamlin Lake looking into the State Park too, and it has been as refreshing as anything else. I'm not sure why, but there's something about woods, dunes, and lakes that get me. I look at them and I can't help but see the beauty and glory of God's creation in them. Thatt's one of the biggest reasons why I love home so much.
I needed the beach today. It's helping me climb out of the canyon.
