Don't get close-I'm not safe

Peter and Paul both are known for threatening to punch people in the face. They rarely actually make good on that threat, but Peter said he did it once to one of his friends here at Hope. I don't threaten people like that regularly, but my life has gotten increasingly violent recently.

-On Sunday, in trying to say hello to Laura at Engedi, she accidentally backhanded me square in the nose. I think I recoiled just a little out of sheer shock. It was pretty funny.

-On Tuesday evening, on our iHOP run, I got things started off on the right foot with my future roommates and accidentally bashed Matt right between the eyes with my hand. He pretended to be knocked unconscious, which only made me feel even guiltier.

-Earlier tonight at Amarisa's great big barbecue at Schrier, Dan tried to move his drink away so I wouldn't hit it as I greeted him with a hug (Hope College unofficial policy). I still succeeded in swatting it out of his hand.

What the heck is wrong with me????

In other news, I'm starting to notice some patterns about Spring Exam Week at Hope. Last year as I tried to go finish wrapping up stuff with Education classes, I ran into Ben, Brandon, and J-Rich. I can't even remember if I ever reached VanZoeren in time. This year, I got stopped by Amarisa, Heidi, Rachel, Jon, and Becky. Amarisa's barbecue was fun mostly for just hanging out with some truly sweet people and the great (and by that I mean deep) conversations that we shared. And then there's my poor melted ice cream... at least Ross likes it microwaved.

One exam to go...
