A cross-section of life - it's triple-layered! Mmm...
The Major General Music's life has gotten exciting again after a tough previous week. Here's a sampling.
-Sunday: the Major General Music returns to Hope College, discovers that his housing intentions have fallen through completely, a rehearsal for DeVos in the Dow Center, and then meeting with one of his concerned friends about housing around midnight
-Monday: the DeVos Musical Showcase takes three busloads of Hope musicians, instruments, and other important equipment to Grand Rapids for an evening of musical entertainment. Refer to previous post for details.
-Tuesday: After returning from his field placement, the Major General Music and his good friend the Show Choir Buddy drove to the CBI in downtown Holland. There we visited with the students and either took them on a walk around the downtown or to lunch. Upon being ready to leave, the two discover that the Show Choir Buddy's brakes are dead and sought the assistance of a classmate. What ensued was a true adventure: eight college students packed themselves into a small Chrysler two-door coupe meant to hold maybe four comfortably. Among the group besides the Major General Music and Show Choir Buddy included the Tall Basketball Dude, who stands a whopping 6'5". Needless to say, we all prayed no one of the law enforcement persuasion would see us and that everyone else would-it was a true clown car experience.
-Wednesday: The Major General Music had an awkward experience as Peter Van Dutchyname discovered the cell phone pocket on the Major General Music's backpack. Peter thought it felt strange and asked everyone he saw to feel it. The awkwardness? The pocket is right against the Major General Music's chest... so he had a very large number of people feeling his chest. However, the highlight of the day was most definitely in the evening - Nertz in the Kletz with the Kind Bible Study Leader and some other friends! It was a dogfight from start to finish, but the Kind Bible Study Leader and the Major General Music had to yield after at least a dozen rounds, playing to 100. Don't let the Kind Bible Study Leader's friendly smile fool you-the two proved once again that they are a deadly pair and a force to reckoned with in the world of Nertz.

= destruction?
I don't know if you can say that unless you win, maybe it should be equals competition or near destruction.
You forgot another daily highlight- talking to me!

You know, that cell phone pocket could have been in more awkward places...like on your butt for example.
