A Snowball Fight!!!!

Life's been kinda weird. I seem to be experiencing some things that are really good and some that aren't. Secondary Block is looking up in spite of my early skepticism. It's been REALLY good to come back to Engedi, and it's even better to know they're glad to see me. And hanging with Ben, Brandon, and Steph at the hockey game (Hope tops Calvin 3-2 in one of the messiest, yet most exciting games I've seen in a while) was great fun.

Yet for some reason, the two things that I usually really love and seem to always identify with, The Gathering and Bible Studs seem to be in a dry spell. Not entirely sure why at the moment-I'm sure God will show me but I'd love to know sooner rather than later.

Today was kinda... meh. Evaluating the music education candidates is enjoyable and a positive experience, but I've had about enough of that. I know who I'd select, but I don't know how much my opinion actually matters in the department's actual decision. And I'm sick of being late for Science & Tech. Dr. Krupczak doesn't seem to worry too much but yeah... and mucking through the red tape for fingerprinting in the Education Department. Don't get me even started about that department right now. It was therapeutic to rant about it with Hillary and Emily since we're all in the same boat.

But an impulsive decision earlier tonight made things just "feel" better. Some friends over in Phelps decided to hold a snowball fight in the Pine Grove. I almost said no but then decided to follow Prof. Jack Ridl's brilliant advice on always saying yes to opportunities like those. Boy was I ever glad I did-snowball fights bring back the child in me. There's nothing like throwing snow at your friends and running around like a crazy person. It was wonderful to just have some fun with friends and not worry about anything. I miss that childlike carefree lifestyle.

And this book is wonderful. I'm glad I'm reading it again.
