At least I have the eyebrows for it

So we had to practice cueing entrances in Conducting Techniques today. When it was my time, I stepped up to the podium and got things rolling.

I conducted, and things went well for the most part. My classmates liked the entrances for the most part, which made me happy. Mark said I had "really good eyebrows," which wasn't something Dr. Richmond had specifically mentioned but pointed out can be another effective "tool" when conducting. But it was something Kara said that really got my attention.

"You might want to smile a bit more while conducting. The cues looked fine, but you'd look up at us and wouldn't smile or anything. You looked almost... grumpy up there and every time you'd cue us, I'd have to stifle a giggle."

I'm becoming my brother!!!! I'm conveying the message of grumpy without even trying and I'm not even grumpy! (Jordan, I KNOW you're out there reading this... congratulations, you're making me become you.) And now I know what he's put through with the constant barrage of, "Jordan, why are you so grumpy?"

At least I have the eyebrows for it. I love conducting...
