No more GR, please

I've spent two yesterday and today in Grand Rapids or on the roads between Grand Rapids, Ludington, and Holland. And I'm doing it again TOMORROW.

Jordan and I went to a job fair. He was the one looking for jobs. I went in to see what it was like because, as I expected it would be, they don't have anything really for teachers at those. Plus I still have another year of school. It was still good to at least see it; I was reminded of the Michigan Music Conferences and the Michigan ACDA state conferences, only I guess the vendors are employers looking for workers. Basically you smile at the vendor, give them a copy of your résumé and references, talk to the person for a few minutes, and then do it again with everyone else.

The rest of the day was fairly, umm, normal. Jordan found some 25th anniversary GI Joe action figures. It all sounds geeky, and it is, but it was cool. I haven't seen the truly iconic characters (the likes of Storm Shadow and Snake Eyes, for example) in stores for YEARS, so that was sweet. I scored a couple o' CDs at Barnes & Noble and Best Buy, only to discover the Jeremy Camp CD is all scratched (grr!). Happily I'll be able to get to another Best Buy and hopefully get a better copy. What isn't quite making sense to me is why it copied so cleanly onto my computer... or why it's both insanely rainy and sunny within 90 minutes today.

It's going to be so awesome to be back in Holland with friends this weekend. I can't wait.
