Rachel Daley DIDN'T just tag me!
So I was looking at Rachel's Xanga. She recently did one of those "I tagged you so you do what I say" listy-thingses... I'm bored so I'll do one right now.
Oddities about me... (there are too many but I'll name ten and follow suit)
1. Despite being a vocal music education major, I am only in my second year of private voice lessons. It was a perfect truth to throw off my freshmen (and Kevin too) during Orientation while playing "Two truths and a lie." Dr. Richmond is the only voice teacher I've ever had (although that soon won't be true when I start lessons with Dr. Buettner).
2. Instead, I took nine years of piano lessons at home. I haven't regretted them at all and they've been helpful, but... I'll never be piano performance material.
3. I once ate a medium pizza at Pizza Hut by myself. It was probably the stupidest thing I've done in many months. I didn't feel so much physically sick from it as mentally anguished at the thought of how much pizza that really is. Yikes...
4. Despite swearing that I'd never use the information or even care about it, I'm thinking about Educational Psychology WAAAY too much. I even responded to a news report with information I learned in the class. I'll get you, Dr. Donk!!
5. I had two choir directors double book me two days after I got home from Hope for Christmas break. I'm still not sure how that happened.
6. Popcorn is a mild obsession of mine. Especially if it has cheese or if it's Mom's homemade caramel corn. Mmm!
7. I can feel rapid pressure changes in my bones like a lot of older folks will say they can. I think it has to do with the three knee injuries I sustained in high school, but it's only a guess.
8. I play way too many video & computer games when I'm at home, even though I barely touch them at Hope.
9. I couldn't care less about the U of M vs. Michigan State rivalry even though I've always lived in Michigan and have been surrounded by lots of people who cheer for one or the other.
10. If I could learn one more instrument really well, it would be the cello or the flute.
Seven songs I'm into... hmmm
1. "Lux Aurumque" by Eric Whitacre
2. "Rejoice and be Merry" by John Rutter
3. "The Swan" by Camille Saint-Saëns
4. "Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring" by Johann Sebastian Bach
5. "Daemon Irrepit Callidus" by György Orbán
6. "Ave Maria" Franz Biebl (yes, even though I'm not a member of the Roman Catholic Church)
7. "O Clap Your Hands" by Ralph Vaughan Williams

I like this "I once ate a medium pizza" notion. The truth is, folks, it was only a few weeks ago this occured.
